My passion for jewelry started at the age of 14. I grew up in Lakewood, California and attended Mayfair High School in the mid ’80’s. There I took an art class making jewelry. Mr. Schaffer was the very talented teacher who helped foster my love of making jewelry. At the age of 16, I was fortunate to start working/apprenticing for a family friend named Gary Owen at the McCloud Ring Works in San Pedro, California. Working for Gary was an incredible experience. He is a true artist with an incredible soul who taught me and helped me to realize my true potential. I eventually moved on to making my own jewelry out of a private studio, mostly for friends and family. During these years, I strived to expand my knowledge and skillset through research, attending classes taught by the GRS training center, and apprenticing under a master faceter, Jonas, learning precision gem cutting. This led to opening my studio to the public by appointment in 2017. I am looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me. Jewelry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It has been challenging, rewarding, frustrating, and at times, very therapeutic. Jewelry has certainly been a blessing for me. It has brought me closer to the community where I have met incredible people and made some great friends along the way.
